Need a little reassurance

Hey guys. I'm currently on week 3 of sertraline. 25mg increased to 50mg. I've been on the 50mg for 8 days. I started to feel loads better around day 18 and 19 and had some greats days. But yesterday and today I feel like I've been hit by a bus. My whole body is sore. I feel like I have flu but without the cold symptoms and I'm back in bed!

Is this normal? To be so up and then so down?

I just need some reassurance to keep pushing forwards I guess. If anyone can offer me any reassurance that would be great. Just to put my mind at ease. Thank you.

    Hi suzie I have suffered from depression for many years now ... And have had lots of help from the nhs with 2 fantastic psychiatrists I am truly blessed ... The new psychiatrist did some research for me as I didn't want to be a Guinea pig ... He narrowed it down to 2 anti depressants chose the second one as it was not so strong and came onto the marketv1985 ish ... Anyway I started on 50 mg then was put up to 100 mg I started to feel terrible really bad ... My psychiatrist then put me down to 75 mg with 5 mg of diazepam daily and this is the best I have felt for many years life is good and I no longer have mind destroying obsessions and I have not had an episode for a long time ... Just to say it took around 6 weeks hang on in there ... Hope this helps Lesleyrose

      Hi just want to get some reassurance,I'm on 100mg sertraline been doing quite well but the last 3 days very emotional and sick and down is this normal? X

      As I said my psychiatrist put me down to 75 from 100 and that worked for me

    I don't know what to do either. Been on for 12 weeks and the anxiety and intrusive thoughts are still lingering just enough to bother me. I now feel like I don't care about anything, been like that for about a week now. I've had some really good days, I just don't understand because I've had good days and I thought I would see more by 12 weeks
