Need Achilles Tendon Rupture Rehab Advice

Posted , 3 users are following.

I ruptured my achilles almost four years ago and had a completely botched surgery, where the surgeon cut the cadavar tendon much too long disallowing for the tendon to work. I followed up with a second surgery with a different surgeon to correct the mistake almost two years after. The surgery was a success, but there was great pain in my medial malleolus. Because of this I was never able to do rehab. I received a third opinion and it was discovered that basically the bone grew due to the stress. I'm now having the surgery to repair that, but I'm worried that I won't be able to gain any strength back in my achilles because of the lack of use since the second surgery which was two years ago. Can you anyone give me advice on this?

Thank you
