He’s lucky that his only side effects are tiredness. My anxiety hit the roof for a month.

    It will get better.

      Hi Deborah,

So your anxiety hit the roof when you started Zoloft? How long before you felt better? I have been miserable the last month cross tapering from 15 mg of lexapro to 100 mg of Zoloft. I was managing the third week with 75 mg of Zoloft and 5 mg of lexapro with not much depression just not feeling well from side affects. Once I finally dropped the lexapro and increased to 100 mg of Zoloft, I had severe nausea, increased heart rate, dizziness, stomach upset etc... After being on 100 mg of Zoloft for 3 days, I started getting anxiety ( which was not even my initial problem) and bad depression. I dropped back down to 75 mg after 4 days. My GI symptoms slowly is getting back to normal but tomorrow is 1 week since I went back down to 75 mg and I’m still extremely anxious and depressed.  Is this normal?? I know there has been a lot of changes in my system but my heart is still beating so fast and I am so depressed that I’m crying on and off all day! This is absolutely miserable! Do you think once everything stabilizes, there’s hope for me to feel normal again?? Any advice would be appreciated!

I personally wound stay on the 75 unless you feel it’s way to much then go to 50. But I have to tell you it took me 8-9 weeks to feel better. But I have high anxiety anyway which is why it was hard for me.

Try drinking ginger tea for the nausea. That might help.

Let me know how you’re feeling in the next day or two.

Thanks Debrah for getting back to me! After 1 week of  decreasing down to 75 mg, I finally had a hopeful day. I only cried once! My rapid heart rate has slowed down and I was less dizzy today. Most importantly, I was not nearly as depressed as I have been the last week!  I hope this is finally the start of me feeling better!  Hope you are doing well!
