Need advice ASAP - hard as a rock stomach with severe pain.

Hello,

I am actually writing this for my boyfriend's sake, so please no one suggest that it might be pregnancy.

In any case, He is been suffering from bloating a lot and at the last 1.5 day is suffering for severe pains in his belly with bloating and what he describes as a hard as a rock stoamch.

He usually eats only meal a day, and it starts before he gets to eating; however, as far as I understand, the pain goes a little bit after he eats.

I actually think it got to do with his bad eating habbits, but I am afraid it might be stomach cancer or an ulcer.

Please please please help me, he is very hard when it comes to going to a doctor, and I don't want to throw another fit for something that just might pass with time.

You could find all sorts of things it could be on the internet, but I am afraid at the end of the day your boyfriend needs to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis. It is worth him seeing someone rather than worrying what it could be and being in discomfort. He could perhaps talk to a pharmacist first as that may be easier fir him, they are usually very helpful and knowledgable.

I do agree with ptolemy's reply. It could be because of his eating habits, the only way is for him to see a GP or speak with a pharmasist first. Do not google symptoms as that could be confusing and cause more anxiety

    Hi,

It can be different things, ranging from common conditions like increased acidity, acute gastritis, or gastroduodenitis, to more serious conditions. He needs to see a doctor. He definitely should start eating more regularly, and frequent and small amounts. He needs to avoid coffee, alcohol, anything spicy or irritating until these go away. He needs to drink lots of water and have food that is gentle on stomach. But all these are only advice for temporary solutions. These symptoms can be also indication of more serious conditions, so he should not wait. He needs to see a doctor, to gets appropriate tests done to establish a correct diagnosis and treatment.

He should have testing done by an MD. Stool testing will show if he has H pylori which causes a lot of stomach pain and ulcers.
