I am a 48 year old female, started suffering with Migraines about 5 years ago. Went to Neurologist, had two MRI's and was given Triptan (Relpax) for bad migraine. Usually left side of my head, pulsating pain like my eye will fall out if I bend over. Nauseous and dizzy, I realized on my own my blood pressure was high, went to doc and was put on Norvasc. Thank God those typles of headaches went away. Now I am dealing with like a chronic daily headache. If I don't wake up with one I will get one eventually as the day goes on. Recently my problem is pain and stiffness in my neck. Radiates up the back of my head into my eyes and temples. I went back on Nortriptyline 25 mg then will go up to 75mg. Starting to help a little bit. I just don't understand why I get so fixated on anything physical that happens to me. I makes everything worse..I am asking if anyone knows how to stop obsessing about aches and pains..very depressing!!

What you are suffering from is called health anxity and it's awful!! I have it as well... We go on google and search and search then self diagnose... Once the dr tells us we don't have the ailment we think we move on to something else. My best advice to you is to go see a shrink because health anxiety will ruin your life.

id had migraines for over 40 years and they flared up when I ate something that was a trigger ---something I'd eaten ore iously with no problems would suddenly cause a migraine.
then the headaches from hell started! Far worse than any migraine. I thought they started in my temples, eye region and went backwards over my head, almost in 2 lines, to my neck. In fact it was the opposite. They started in my neck, travelled along nerves to temples. Muscles in my neck had constricted, locked, causing the pain and also raising my blood pressure. 2 months treatment by a Chiropractor and I'm fine--no pain, no meds. It might be worth seeing a chiropractor. Also try ice pack on your neck for 10 mins in every hour whether you gave a headache or not. Then gentle movement of your head, side to side, up & down, over to one side, then other, gently, slowly.
good luck.
