Anne, yicks, I think I remember talking to you about this. I had the runs at first, but now just soft stool and it's 3 months in. Is the stool color normal? Have you seen a doc on this and perhaps have a sample of your stool sample examined? Also, have you tried eating more fiber or taken any med to firm up stool?

Sorry to hear this - I hope there's a solution to this for you soon. sad Xx.

    Hi,

I've been on Sertraline since the end of November 2016 and I am having the same as you, not every day but quite regularly and also tummy ache, I'm hoping it is the side effects as I've convinced myself that it's something more sinister!

Ive had this problem for ages.

Before I started sertraline I would get the runs all the time from stress/anxiety. It can just be a side effect of nerves. It still sometimes happens and i think it is a side effect of the meds (the list of side effects is huge so don't rule it out)

Eating more fibre may help, also cut out cafine and sugary things as i find these set it off.

Hi Anne, don't know if you're still having tummy issues, but I went to see my doctor about mine and the pain and she asked me if I was taking my Sertraline with food, I wasn't as I was taking it at bedtime as when I first started it I couldn't stand the sickness so I thought take it then and you will be asleep so would you have to suffer the sickness feeling! Well she advised me to take it with my evening meal and literally overnight the pain has stopped and stools are pretty much back to normal, hope this helps 😀
