I have itching since (3 years) for which I have to take a cetrizine tablet every 5 days. Doctors can't figure out whats causing the itching. Taking Benadryl cough syrup also keeps the itching at bay.

I would like to know are there any danger signs in the blood report and if some anomaly is factoring in for my itching.

I am 50 - 82kgs - normal blood sugar - walk 5kms in 60 mins six days a week.

Thanks

We can't read results and offer you that kind of opinion here. It's against the policy, unsafe and would be useless information. You should talk with your doctor and ask him his medical opinion. You can also research each one of those reference ranges and see if any are abnormal range, however just to know one or two is abnormal still wouldn't help in a proper diagnosis, there is just too many variables especially when dealing with a major organ such as the liver.

Thanks. Yes, I do see the pitfalls. The problem is my doctor and two others to whom I was referred and also a skin specialist cannot figure out whats causing the itching. It suddenly started 3 years ago. After about 18 months it just stopped for about 5 months. Then there again was a gap (no itching) for 2 months. I have to take cetirzen tablet when the itching becomes unbearable. It subsides for 5 days and by th 5th evening it starts again - usually at the ankles, wrists and fingers and then all over.

I was just wondering if anyone can analyse the liver report. The figures have been on the higher side since 5 years. But my doctor says it is nothing to worry about.

might be a sign of sluggish/tired liver. If it would be me I would research more symptoms of fatty liver and other liver problems (nausea, poor digestion, smelly sweat, fatigue, immune disorders)  and tried some liver detox programs. Instead of alleviating itchiness, use it as your guide, which foods make it worse or better.

Thanks. There is absolutely NO nausea, digestive problems, smelly sweat and fatigue though I am on Thyronorm for underactive thyroid.

Which foods make it worse or better? I must keep track from now on yet I have doubts because no matter what I eat (Its usually veg and fish/chicken fortnightly) the itching start on the 5th day after taking the cetrizine tablet. If my diet has had to do something with it (for better or worse) the itching onset would not be so fantastically consistent.

I will go in for a liver test once again and do some more research as you say. Thanks.

Any enlightenment is welcome. If anyone has something more to add or has a similar condition please do comment.
