hi all,

I have been diagnosed with deformed eustachian tubes. my inner ears constantly click and pop and once they have done that everything echoes and is very uncomfortable / annoying. to correct i plug my nose with my fingers an suck in they click and pop and my hearing returns as normal. once i sip water, swollow, yawn, or take a bite of food they then again click and pop and i have plug nose and suck in. i do this hundreds of times a day. would really like to avoid surgery. is anyone out there dealing with similiar issues would love to hear input. any info would help greatly!

    hi there

i have awful eustachian tube dysfunction

i had eustachian tube dilation surgery which sadly made myears much worse

i was having grommets before that and that helped me much more then the surgery

perhaps discuss grommets with your doctor to see if it wont help you

nothing else at all has worked for me

    good luck

Hi Andrew,Sorry to hear of your ETD problems. After three years of suffering from enormous pressure in my head, not pain, just pressure,as if it's been pumped up like the inner tube of a football. One specialist thought it was ETD.The next specialist said it wasn't & two further specialists said they didn't know. I've had x rays & two MRI scans which say There isn't cancer but have no idea what it actually is.All I get is speculation of "it could be this or could be that" or even that I might be suffering from depression.

My GP gave me the most honest answer so far when he said "we don't have an answer

    to every question"
