Hi everybody My name is michael and I am on (serlan) Sertraline 50mg for the last 3 days for Anxiety+ Mild Drepression and have had a bad few days, head all over the place, find it hard to get out of bed as no drive to do so, the only relife is that I can sleep at night and when I take the tablet in the evening for a few hours. Can anybody please tell me how long before these meds kickin fully. I never have had any problems with Anxiety or derpression before or this type of med. I have to say I scared.

Unfortunately these meds do take time. It's hard but it will be worth it in the end. Peservere! If after 6 weeks your still not feeling any better go back to your GP but I'd Defo say give it some time
Good luck !

So sorry your experience is scary right now. I use 100 mg, and take it at night also. Everyone is different, but if you can get through the first 6 weeks, things should begin to level out. It could take longer too, and every doctor has something different to tell their patients, so read all the information you can about the drug, because knowledge is power, and that dispels fear.
I suggest you keep a daily journal about how you feel, then you and your doctor can have empirical evidence to decide if this is the best medication for you or not.
I have not ever had side effects from Sertraline, so I guess it works well with me.
Give it a chance Michael, no matter all the different opinions out there about how long it will take to work the best for you, I believe everyone would agree that three days is too soon to tell if it is going to work for you.
I am with you in spirit.
