    hi

it may its time to fully present itself,if its r/a. are you in excruciating pain with pain killers not touching it, is it hot? is it swollen? is it debilitating? I have R/A but im seronegative, was ur esr and ccp( inflammatory markers) raised? it took me 10 years to get a definate diagnosis so it may take ages. good luck x

Thank you so much for your feedback, in fact. I have all the symptoms you mentioned! I am puzzled as to why all tests show negative results, though the symptoms seem to be for RA.

      Best regards

your welcome. xx you can still have RA with negative results as before, i think that sometimes as the disease progresses it may change to positive but not always.

Hi A, what tests did you have? There are lots of types of RA many without the "usual" RA positive tests, but something is usually not right although might be unconclusive... I wonder why do you have the same pain in all three joints, two of which are symmetric. RA is usually not "exactly" similar between joints and stiffness comes in many joints not just three, while the pain starts in one joint or related joints (fingers of the same hand) not three different joints at the same time.. Maybe I am wrong but it's possible that what you have is not RA but a complication of some other illness, even a simple virus combined with overwork or similar.. Hope so for you. See if strong painkillers help. Hope that you will feel better soon... And that it's not RA. X-rays or CT or MRI may be used to clinically diagnose RA, but having it in three diff joints at the same time, once again seems strange ;-( not an MD though...

Thank 4 ur time and advice..

I did few tests such as Hs-CRP , ESR, RA Factor , normal x-ray, Ultrasound.. All were negative!! Pain is mainly in R-Hand fingers, worst in the morining, have topical pain in both sholuders and elbows..

But with no signs of stiffness. My Rheumatologist prescribed Arcoxia and hydroxychloroquine and he stressed that signs of improvement will not be seen before 2 months

      Again appreciate ur help

And just a minor clarification, it is possible to have MANY multiple pain centers with RA (I am a walking proof for that as well as having most tests disgustingly normal. Most but not all...) but usually the RA starts with one joint or related two... I don't know if your pain started gradually (you mentioned months) or at the same time. As it seems that your hands are affected, examination of electric flow (don't remember the name of the test) may be done too. Does heating up the painful areas help? Hope that you will get a diagnosis or at least a treatment soon. good luck

20% of RA sufferers register negative.  I am one.

      Hi

Thxs, I just found out that I am not the only one! Another observation i.e. they always report that RA hits in symmetrical manner, wheras I only complain from my right hand, left is ok! Is that also normal?
