Need help desperately

Hi

I’m 44 I’ve been severely depressed for 3 years tried everything going,I’m now on Prozac 20mg but am feeling no better,I’m so lonely I’m going through a divorce at the moment my kids are grown up so do their own thing I feel like there is nothing to live for I’m getting very desperate is there any point carrying on do people get better after all this time ?

    Sorry your feeling so unhappy,  have you tried counselling or got any close friends or family you can talk to?  Please try and stay strong and if you want to talk I’m here any time xx

    Katyf, yes people do get better but you need to discuss this with your doctor. You might need something for depression. Please go see your doctor and let him or her know how you are feeling. He should be able to either adjust your medication or prescribe something else. Dont give up. There is life after divorce . Do this for you. 😎

    Stay strong Kathf my kids are grown do their own thing visit your gp and have a talk about how you are feeling he will refer you for counselling someone to talk to or get in touch with your local mind branch and you will get support and activities to join in and make new friends I have made a lot of new friends through ny local branch.

    Hi katy try stau strong things will get better. I know its hard ive been there myself but dont ever give up, im sure youll be ok. Xx

    Been there done that. Pull yourself together. This is your life now, go get it. 

    No one did it for me and you are going to have to do it for yourself. I’m on Zoloft 50 ml, I started on 25 for a month to start. After 10 days at 50ml, I’m more centered and happier. IT GETS BETTER!
