Need Help! Headache constant

Posted , 3 users are following.

I keep getting a throbbing pain on the forehead of the left side.

Its been continuos for 3 weeks now.

I have had a eye test including a OC scan at specsavers which is a extra test to speak to the eye specialist. They were happy with all results and nothing to be concerned about.

I spoke to my local GP Doctor over the phone due to no face to face appointments. She said I was describing the sense of tension headaches.

She said to take amitripyline 10g for 2 weeks.

I had no changes when taking this.

I decided to go to the hospital and see the doctor. He examined me over but did not take any scans. He was certain this was tension headaches.

He said he will put me on baclofen 5g to be taken 3 times a day. These tablets are very strong. They did not seem to help but just make me really sleepy.

I am a football coach and today had a session 121 with a player. I thought the pain or tenderness would go but it was still there.

Its getting me really down!

Does anyone have any advice or experienced this before?

Thank you

Ask your doctor to send a referral to a private hospital. Usually it'll be requesting an MRI and an MRA scan together.

Usually £350 and you can take out Finance on it, interest free over 12 months. Then arrange to see a private doctor for results, that'll give you piece of mind.

Lord knows how long the NHS waiting list is.

    Hi,

I am having Throbbing pressure/Tightening of muscles/Tight band/Pulse beating /Pressing/Compression on Bridge of my Nose on right side and Fore Head above right eye through out the day from past one year. If glasses on nose, it increases. Closing eyes also increases.

MRI/Blood/Eye/Ear test normal. I use CPAP from several years, and healthy active lifestyle. Docs put me on Nortriptyline but no relief and nothing working so far.

    Thanks
