Hi all I be on and off this but always reading. I'm at a lost now though. I had a fall nearly 2 weeks ago and it turns out I have broken my fibula (bone in my leg). Has anyone had such a injury. I'm so p****d off. No work yet again even though I was thinking of goin out on sick leave but I can't even get out of the house now 😔😔.

Sorry I just need to tell others than my family as i don't no how much more they can take.

If I'd not have bad luck I'd have none at all

Xx

      Thanks peta x.

I feel done a hole in town while out for dinner with my boyfriend. We thought we'd go a little walk after it. There was a culture night and we were on our to get the car and down I went.

To explain it easy uve to bones in ur lower leg the large one is ur tiblur and smaller but still the same length but thinner is the fibula lol.

      I think if I don't laugh I'll cry.

    To smc187,

So sorry, I hope you feel better. I completely understand. I've been through alot. but I try to keep focus and put positive things in my mind otherwise I'll be taken over by fibromyalgia which it will be bad ... I have to do what helps me individually, everyone is different. So you can try to do what ever helps you.

I can really feel for you, I broke both my fibula and tibula many years ago whilst playing football in the school playground.  I was crying my eyes out and my teacher slapped my leg and told me there was nothing wrong with me.  I had to sit there all afternoon and then walk home, which was about a mile.  I was in agony.  My mum took me to the doctors and then we had to travel by bus to the hospital.  I was in plaster for nine months.  I can remember it as if it was yesterday and we are going back 54 years ago.

I hope things improve for you smc, I really can remember how painful it was. x
