I have been having sob....went for a chest x ray radiologist read it as normal with mild hyperinflation of the lungs...then I went for a pulmonary function test which came out normal....my pulmonologist also read the x ray and said yes the lungs are hyperinflated but that's just because I'm active and thin and he sees no signs of emphasima....said my sob is not from my lungs....does this make sense to anyone I have smoked for 15 years and finally quit....I'm still having the sob thinking about getting a second opinion....any advice would be greatly appreciated ....my fev1 was 116% my fvc was 110% and fev1/fvc ratio was 108% of predicted.....my corncrrn is the hyperinflated lungs but my pulmonologist is not concerned....thanks for the help.....

I had a friend with a similar problem, turned out it was her heart that was causing it. Have you had that checked out? June

waste no time. Of course I don't have a clue about medical matters but my friend is now on oxygen all the time and it turned out to be quite serious. Best of luck. June
