my brain has been having the feeling of crawling/tingling/tickling. I've been to emergency room twice because it has been an all day and night sensation. My tonsils have been swollen for months. Doctors said its allergies, then one says I have sinus infection that's causing these feelings..... so I was given antibiotics. Only made things worse, I wake up in the middle of the night confused and disoriented. I've gotten a CT scan and found nothing, blood work was fine . I do not know what else to do and I feel like I'm going crazy

A deep seated infection can cause both the continued swollen tonsils and the disorientation. An elderly relative was recently in hospital due to behavioural issues - she didnt have dementia but appeared so. She was waking in the night confused and violent and didnt recognise her daughter etc. It was luckily determined that her brain issues were due to a serious and deep seated urinary tract infection, which was proving antibiotic resistant rather than alzheimers etc. Pursue your doctors to run further tests to rule out uti, lung infection or central nervous system bacterial issue - all of which can cause neurological issues.
