need new gynocologist

I have had LS for quite a few years now.  I am 74 and live near Watford in Hertfordshire.  I used to get chronic itching, but thankfully this is not so frequent these days.  I use the dermovate ointment twice a week and moisturise with coconut oil.   Due to the recent change in temperature, this has completely melted so I have been putting it in the fridge for a short while to regain consistency.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a gynocologist in my area who specialises in lichen sclerosis.

?At the present time I have to drive to Stoke Mandeville and back to  see a specialist, which can take up to two hours' driving there and back.  I am always kept waiting for an hour or more and am desperate to find someone nearer to my address.  I would be very grateful for a recommendation, preferably someone sympathetic!!

Ive found if I have too much sugar that can affect LS, I check everything for amount of sugar, cocoanut water is good. But even fruit juices have different per cents

Yes, sugar seems to be the real enemy - along with urine!!  I was told coconut water contains sugar, but perhaps it is natural sugar!  Fruit juices can be filled with sugar, so I try to keep away from them when possible.

I tried replying with full details but my response has been deleted by the Moderator.  I live in the Barnet area not far from you, and I was referred to a gyno called Mrs Nitu Bajekal.  I tred putting in her websites which is probably why it was deleted, but you can try a web search.

She works privately at Spire Bushey or on the NHS at Barnet General.  Hope this helps, I won't type more in case they delete it agian.
