I jave been having bad anxiety for a long time. It is literally over everything. It gets to be overwhelming. I need people to talk to that can help me through it when it gets bad. I think it would help to know someone i can talk to that deals with it often.

You are not alone. And you will see many people myself included in this forum who are fighting the same battle. I myself worry about everything and have for as long as I can remember. We are all in this battle together and will get through this together.

To help you relax when you're feeling anxious go to YouTube and search detachment from overthinking meditation. If you have earbuds or headphones use them, lay down,  get comfortable and listen to it. It really calms me down  and I listen to it a couple times a day. There are also other  audios on anxiety, depression, getting a good nights sleep ,etc

try to get exercise because that relieves anxiety and keep busy. The worst thing you can do is sit around and think too much it increases the anxiety.

either when you're listening to the audio or  just feeling a little anxious, try some slow deep breathing. Breathing through your nose slow and long making sure your stomach  rises then breathe out as though you're blowing out a candle. Do it as many times as you need.

One more thing is try to stay away from sugar! Sugar is unknown inflammatory which is not good for the brain and can increase your anxiety. Eat a healthy diet.

I hope you feel better soon.

Do you have depression as well as anxiety?   Maybe you need to use self help techniques like breathing exercises or meditation.  If you have no success you might get help by explaining to your gp as they deal with these illnesses a lot.  I am having meds to help but have to say not much better.

Firstly, I'm sorry you are going through this. You are NOT alone! ?. We're all here for each other. I have a quick trick that I use often. It sounds silly but if it helps you I will be so happy. Hold an ice cube. Place it on your neck, inner arms, wrists, anywhere really. It helps bring your mind back because of the reaction to the extreme temp. Please let me know if this helps! I have read about and tried lots if things. You are ok and not alone, remember that ?
