Need reassurance

i just restarted sertraline after being off of it for nearly 3 months due to no insurance. i was started on 100 mg then after too many bad side effects after nearly 2 weeks im taking 50 mg at night last night was night 4. ive been sleeping a lot 10-12 hours a night no appetite im wondering if going down in dose means i start over with side effects ? also has anyone had issues with taking the generic compared to name brand ?

    In regards to generic versus name brand: I have not had any luck with generics with the exception of Sertaline by Greenstone Manufacturer. Unfortunately, Greenstone no longer makes Setraline. I tried many different generics. The name brand seems to be the only thing that works for me. I have been told that the fillers in generics can affect the way the body absorbs the medication.
