    Hi Becky,

Yes you are normal...this anxiousness and worry that something bad is going on Seema to be common in peri menopause as our hormones fluctuate.

I suffer from it as well....anxiety and excessive worrying. For me it seems to be more health related worry...even though I have had numerous tests which have all been ok. Every time I get a new ache or menopause symptoms I can't help but worry that there something more serious wrong.

I'm an anxious person anyway and this just makes it worse. My doctor wants me to take a medication called Buspar which he says helps with anxiety and excessive worrying. I am considering it.

Hope things settle down for you soon??

Peri refers to the years before a woman reaches full menopause. That number of years differs with each individual person. I believe the average number of years ranges anywhere from 4 - 8 years. A woman is considered in menopause after she has gone one full year without a period.

Peru refers to around, but feel this is not the proper term for menopause since this can last for years before

becky,  vit D3 will lift your mood after a couple of days on it.  try it first before any other medication.  I find it great.

I've been taking sublingual B Complex and D3 For weeks, Cymbalta and still not doing well? I will admit that I do forget to take the vitamins some days though. I've become a different person since 2013.

Becky, I think its time you talked to an understanding doctor about possibly trying hrt or fluoxetine(an anti depressant that is particularly good at softening peri/meno symptoms). Don't go on like this hun, life is too short. ask your gp surgery if they have a specialist meno/well woman gp or nurse as a starting point. xxx
