Recently I've noticed a little lump just below my left ear and it's like a little oval shaped lump which I'm able to move around and it's really squishy too it's also sore to touch aswell, the skin on it and around it is very tender too, anyone have any idea of what it could be??

I'm not doctor, but it's most probably swollen glands. possibly caused by stress, or maybe anxiety.

Sorry ambee, my wording wasn't very good. What I meant to say was, that stress or anxiety was possibly making them appear swollen or the fact that they were or are swollen was causing stress or anxiety. Oops, I should read my comments properly before posting them, I do apologise.

I have had this before. In fact I get lumps on my neck quite regularly. One of them on the back of my neck, just next to the spine/base of hair line, once became very sore and gigantic. When I went to the GP I was told it was an infection and that any lump that grows that quickly (about 3 weeks for me) is pretty much always an infection. After taking antibiotics it cleared up and stopped hurting but I can still feel the lump a bit. I found a little lump on my throat once too, and went to the doctors. This lump gets a little bit bigger every now and then. My doctor said it is nothing to worry about and probably just a smal cyst which is harmless. I think that when they are under your ear, they are most probably stress related, or maybe you are getting a cold. The neck and throat has loads of glands in it so I think it is farily normal to get lumps and bumps in this area. You should go to your GP if you are worried just to ease your mind. xx
