My first question is how old are you, & what is your gender.  The doctor was right that a virus can cause numbness and even transverse myelitis.  If your vitamin levels are off it can cause a lot of havoc in your body.  Especially, D, B12, B6, Potassium, calcium, and sodium.  As far as your eyes going blurry, is it after you were reading, watching TV, playing video games, or spending a long time at a computer.  When your eyes get fixed in on one thing for a long time this can cause blurry vision, dry eye can too.  As far as the pins and needles in the car or bed, you could have a slipped disk, or a pinched nerve.  Don't jump to MS.  Is there a history of autoimmune diseases in your family?

Thanks for the reply Jess I'm 34 and female, there is no family history I have wound myself up over this putting two and two together there's such a strong relationship with Vit D and Ms and any stories about Ms I 've read have involved isolated incidents of paralysis. The Times my eyes had gone blurry have both been when I was working long shifts are you an Ms sufferer?

=12ptIn February 1993 I was 38.  I got to work Monday Morning February 1 and sat down at my Unigraphics workstation and noticed my toes tingling.  Similar to when you sit with your legs crossed on the floor for too long and then get up and the blood flowing back into your feet tingles.  My feet tingled all day and it was difficult to concentrate on work.  The next day the tingling was replaced with numbness in my toes but my feet tingled.  Very weird.  On Wednesday my ankles tingled and my feet were numb and toes dead.   On Friday it was raining when we got out of the car so we ran to the gate.  I could not feel the ground I was stepping on and I could only feel me running by the jarring of my head.  MS is different for everyone.  The numbness slightly went away 3 months later but still lingered after I ran and played basketball.  It's now disabling, I can't run anymore.  It sucks.  Basketball was my favorite way to exercise.  I had to get a recumbent because I could not ride my 210 speed anymore.  I still ride in the MS Bike ride although the are now trying to get $350.00 from everyone which is close to out of reach for me.  It use to be $150 then $200 then $250 but it jumped.  It's my 15 ride if I go again.  One other thing, before I knew it was MS my legs had tremors and felt like there were ants in my sheets when I went to bed,  Also my ears ring louder when I have a attack.  Souds like someone left the water running so I get out of bed and chexck to make sure all the faucets are off.  They usually are unless I don't check.  Wife occationally leave the hose on to water the plants.
