Need some clarity

I was recently diagnosed with herpes 2. They stated anything about 1.1 is considered positive I’m a 5.00. I’ve herd that blood test with out symptoms are not 100% accurate and that those with out symptoms shouldn’t get tested. I’m one of those with out symptoms but decided to just take a herpes test because I was at the doctor and said hey why not make sure I have nothing. Do you believe I really have this virus? I have no symptoms down there except the usual itch when I shave. I have no lesions or blisters as well. I was told before taking the test it’s a 50/50 chance of a false positive. But if it came back positive and say it was wrong I don’t want to live my life in depression and sadness over a false result. I literally don’t believe I have it. Also my partner which I had unprotected sex with 2-3 weeks ago came out negative but the doc said he’ll have to try again in August because it was recent with me. Please reply on your thoughts

I think the best way to know is to test your partner in august. If he turns positive so sure you are positive.

Herpes is tricky and acts in different ways with different people. Sometime present with no or mild symptoms. But at same time if you have it so you can transmit it to partners. It may be good for you that no symptoms but bad that you transmit it to others. At least people who have frank symptoms can decide when to avoid sex but you cant know.

So every condition has its pros and cons. Just wait. If you are true positive, either your bf will have symptoms nearby or he will test positive in august.

    Good luck

Ok do you have discoloration? In between my Labia Majora where the hairs don’t grow is purple. It’s like a numbing feeling but I have no lesions or blisters I have flat bumps kind of and I read it could be clogged oil glands also I was using dove down there the cucumber and it would burn so I changed soaps and it never happened again but now I have purple discoloration. I read that inflammatory hyperpigmentation could be possibility.

      Im a man btw smile

But herpes means blisters. I think what you have now is not herpes.

I mean it is mostly not an OB. Also coz herpes goes from one stage to another. If your discoloration is constant so it is not herpes.

Keep calm as long as your man had no symptoms. Go for condom. And let him be tested on time.

      Good luck

Haha sorry I thought you were a women😂 but ok. I’ll see what happens in August and  the purple is going away slowly but surely so I’m pretty sure I had an allergic reaction to the wash.  Sorry for the tmi post lol. And yeah I haven’t had any blisters or lesions. I was told those are a sign of herpes. I guess I’m one of those who handles the virus good. But yet again I herd if your sick other stuff can interfere with the blood test and I drank coffee before the blood test a few hours before. But like again I’ll wait until August to see the results from spouse
