Have left side chest pain content for 2 months now , been to the doctors many times had served ekg's , chest X-rays and blood works done , they tell me the pain is not coming from my heart . They told me it is a muscle problem but the pain seem to move around and worst when I wake up in the morning , some times they can feel deep but most of the time they feel surface just under my skin , they also don't me that my anxiety is maken it a lot worst then that it really is , I'm a 25 year old male with no family history of heart disease. I'm just so scared that it's something more serious that the doctors wouldn't pick up on the ekg , they wouldn't send me to do anymore test because of my age and I never failed any test , but yet I still have the pain , it was with me all the time for about 2 months , now I find that it eases pretty well when I am at rest but can flare up again when I'm at work , lifting or just moving around , I sometimes can feel the pain after a really deep breath or a hard cough , I know my anxiety makes it a lot worst then what it really may be , witch they told me I have Heath anxiety and worried that it is my heart , the doctors told me they are 99.9% possible that the pain is not coming from my heart , and that my other symptoms that I am having are from my anxiety, like feeling short of breath at times and feeling lightheaded , I know I have been stress out over this for months now , but I still can mange to shake the pain ... anyone with any inside on this would be great !

Highly unlikely to be your heart at 25, other syptoms if it was heart issue would be swollen ankles, extreme sweating even when doing nothing, soaking wet through, sudden weight gain, I mean kilos overnight, breathlessness again for no reason.

Other issue is have you lifeted something or done some new job, shovelling gravel, even coughing, or reaching up fixing something and torn a muscle or even worse damaged a cartledge.

I have had experience with damaged cartledge, Dr finally told me thats what it must be, doing new exercises, he told me 6 weeks if it was a muscle and 12 weeks if it was a tendon or cartledge, I was very doubtful about this but he was spot on with the time span, 12 weeks later woke up one morning no pain, and did not come back, until i hurt it again a few months later again, at that point they decided a cat scan would give them more answers, arthritis of joint was the root cause and damaging the cartledge when I moved it a certain way.  Later a hip replacement and no more cartledge problems.

Thanks for the replay . The doctors were pretty certain that it was a muscle issue that I tore a few mucles in there , even at work now when I left a tire or move a certain way it gets worst . Just I been in this bubble now for almost 2 and half months , like i said the pain seems like it gets better tell i go to do something then I find it again . It's just frustrating when you feel something there . And doctors tell ya one thing and you feel something else . I hope it all heals up soon so I can move on with my life , and try to get my anxiety under control.

Hey Travis, I'm 26 I kind of went through the same thing however, I went to the ER multiple times before they referred me to a cardiologist, I have gone through multiple tests, ekg, 48 hour holter, echo, x Ray, ct scan, stress test, and now today I went through A ccta, up to this point I've had really sharp pains that sometimes went to my left side and felt really heavy, at this point they have found nothing significant but think maybe I have a case of costochondritis, look it up it may be what you have... I have been told the likelyhood of me having anything heart related at my age is .01% but then again they say that to everyone who is our age... and I'm a smoker so that's the only thing I have going against my luck... and we'll my family history all have heart problems but not my mom or dad at this point in their life so they say that's not of concern unless someone drops dead early in the family because of heart issues. Trust and believe you don't want anymore tests... because before you know it you're getting another test... and it makes your anxiety even more worse I'm talking from experience they have found little things on my echo which they say is not important or nothing of concern but then when I google it it's like my world is ending. If there's any advice I can give you, get a second opinion and if they tell you nothing's wrong leave it at that.
