got my self in trouble with police for shouting and drunk, i have been drinking for a long time and have a CPN, now the judge has ordered a background check, i'm worried as I lied to my CPN told I had been in trouble before for affray and violence, (someone elses advice) which wasn't true, I did not want the CPN to visit my house as I was ashamed of the mess, cans bottles etc.. now i'm worried that this will come out and get me into more legal trouble, what can I do to stop this information and have it removed before it's too late, once in trouble is enough, and have done my detox on a relapse course and have not taken a drink since the a month. can anyone advise.

CPNAA71. I am not sure why someone advised you to lie to the CPN and make up an offence you hadn't committed, I can't see any benefit in having the CPN think you had done that, quite the opposite. I would just come clean and explain why you lied. CPNs are never shocked by what people do, they see so many different behaviours in people, I wouldn't let that worry you. CPNs don't avoid coming if they fear that you might be aggressive, they come with someone else.

You haven't broken a law by lying so put that aside and stop worrying about it (I have worked as a CPN, I know smile )

You are doing well staying off the drink for a month, keep going smile
