Hi i posted a while back as have FM/ME and was diagnosed with CS a while back. My Gp is sending me for and MRI Scan now as he said the area where the C6 and C7 discs are are very bad and need investigating further.
The past few days my whole upper back, shoulders neck and up across the back of my head and sides of my face are so sore and so stiff i am going mad with pain and fatigue and no matter what i do i cannot get any relief at all. I can't turn my neck, i am having difficulty eating and talking.
Any advice please from any of you as what to do to try and ease these pains would be much appreciated. I am sat here with my wheatbag on but its not doing much at all. Can't take pain meds as they make me very ill.
Thanks all.
Julie.

I'm so sorry you are having such a difficult time, especially as you have other conditions which are dreadful enough on their own.
Firstly, the wheatbag, take it off, any weight will make things worse, or so I found, do you have an electric blanket?? If so, put that on and lie on it, the heat usually helps to ease the pain, and relax the muscles. Lying down usually helps too, try some nice soothing music too, I know it all sounds a bit potty but try and relax go with the pain, walk through the pain. If that doesn't help have, the biggest cry you have ever had in your life, it's amazing the tension that can be released, don't hold back let it go'
Then stay positive and strong because once you have the scan they will be able to see what is involved and help you, I know it all takes time and it doesn't help when you'r e in pain, but hold on in there.
Take Care

Apart from Alcohol :guinness: for pain relief/relaxant :D , I can recommend using essential oils, via massage and/or vapourised. It really works for me. I burn lavender and massage with coriander :zen: Oh and use them in a hot bath as well. All the best........
