hi, well my problems started about a month ago, I had been feeling so tired (still am) and then started like a tension headache ( pressure/band feeling front and middle of head) I'm still suffering with this. then a few weeks ago I noticed a lump on my neck near the back in my hairline so I went to the doctors and to her all my symptoms she said the lump is a lymph node and not to worry as it's the only one up ( I've had this lymph node flair up before) and she wanted to get my bloods checked an a scan of this lump then to refer me to a specialist if they come back fine. now I suffer badly with anxiety and panic attacks and this is horrible the waiting and doing Google searches ( I know I shouldn't) and it keep mentioning cancer I just always feel dizzy, drained and genuinely unwell I have no energy to do anything and I have 3 children to look after I just want to be normal am I over worried? just this has been going on now for a month this headache won't go away although it isn't painful just irritating.

You may have mono/glandular fever infection. If you ever had it it can reactivate or even comeback at different times throughout life. I have 3 lymph nodes that never entirely went down after a yearlong mono bout. Any sickness i have now they pop up again. Try not to worry. Stress makes everything amplified and lord Dr google is a liar and fear monger!

Hey Rebecca, I feel you are simply overthinking and getting worried unnecessarily. I suggest you stop surfing the internet and relax. Play with your kids and enjoy life. Whatever life gives us, we should accept with grace. Hoping to hear good news from your side. Take care

I agree because when I actually get busy and do things some of my symptoms (apart from the lump) get better so I think it is my anxiety starting up again thankyou for taking the time to reply.

Hi! I didn't want to read and run. Of course, I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to mention that we have a lot in common - even our name!! For the last three weeks, I have had a band of head pain and pressure, dizziness, general fatigue, and lots and lots of health anxiety about it. I have also Googled and got myself into the brain tumor trap thinking that there is no other answer.
I'm also responsible for a couple of kids, one of whom broke a bone this past week. When I took her into the emergency department, I noticed a real drop in my 'symptoms' - because my focus was on something more important and I wasn't sitting in my own head. That helped me rationalize that cancer symptoms probably don't just pause when we have other things to do. I'm not perfect. I still worry. My headache continues to be a bit of a bother, but we need to recognize that our minds are very powerful and can create feelings of dizziness and tension and aches and pains. Not everything means something. One thing that's helped me is the idea that just because something is possible, doesn't mean it's probable. So, sure, we could have a medical issue (the acceptance of uncertainty is difficult I know) but it's not the ONLY option.
I hope that's helpful and I hope you find some rest.
