hi. I'm 29 weeks pregnant on tuesday has anyone ever had numbness in there vaginal area or back passage from being pregnant sorry now for tmi. My legs feel heavy aswell. It happened on tuesday. I was in the hospital and they did an internal exam to check my strenght back there and everything is working how it should and I'm able to control my bowel and bladder aswell. They checked all reflexes. And they all good. I'm just a nervous wreck over it. They said it's more than likely baby pressing on nerves and all that. Need some reassurance. I'm terrified of cauda equina syndrome. pls help. Thank you. 💗

Hi there I've had 3 kids and with my youngest I had the worst back pain and my legs would just throb for no reason and the only relief would be from using a gym ball I'd highly recommend you try one if you can. Also think it's probably baby pushing down and just getting comfy so try not to worry. Try sleeping with a pillow in between your knees too to take pressure off your hips. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy I promise you it's worth every ache. Try to relax I know it's hard. X

This is totally normal. I just had my third baby in November and have had numbness and pain with all of my pregnancies.

Yes, i did intermittently. I always put it down to baby sitting on nerves etc. Almost 5 months PP now and still notice it occasionally so some of the nerves must be compressed still but its usually if I've been sat longer than usual (which is about 30 seconds with a toddler and a baby!) really weird feeling but I've had this in all of my pregnancies to some extent. Do you have any support? A close friend who has been through a pregnancy? Everyone experiences it differently but the numbness is common!
