Need support/aciclovir advice

Hi all,

Feeling down about my outbreak this is the 2nd one in 6 weeks wondering if it has any correlation with my period as both outbreaks began 2 weeks before period was due.

I feel like I'm going round in circles, it's making me feel like crap achey, so tired no motivation or energy! Don't ever see this ending! The blisters have all gone but sex is sooo painful but I'm too scared to tell my boyfriend and he thinks I'm just being annoying!

I take aciclovir however was wondering about side effects linked to anxiety I've always suffered with panic attacks and anxiety but they are under control this week since taking the antibiotic my anxiety has been really really bad. Also I've been feeling really sick does the antibiotic do this? So much so that I've only been taking 200mg a day cause I can't bare to feel so nauseous!

I've had loads of little tiny bumps (no heads) appear on my forehead and cheeks could this be related to herpes?

Want to feel normal again 😔😔😔😔😔

    The bumps on your forehead are unrelated to herpes, but could be due to stress. 200 mg of acyclovir won't do much, so you may as well not take any and maybe just try acyclovir cream (not ointment). Sex is supposed to be enjoyable. If it is really that unbearable, you should just tell your bf and who cares what he thinks! It's your body and your body belongs to you, not him. Besides, is he not the one who gave you herpes? (I'm assuming this to be the case, but it makes no real difference either way.)

    What type do you have? Yes all those are side effects off acyclovir. As far as the bumps that could be from stress or heat.

    Maybe you having sex to fast it usually take 4weeks in totally for a OB to heel even if the bumps go away before then.

    I took acyclovir and I didn't like it bc of that exact feeling. I was feeling sick,weak and lost my appetite. So now I just take vitamins and herbals once a day and don't stress about.

    So far I only had OB my bumps where gone on 5 days. I have had 2 cycles since then and now OB or acyclovir or sex. I was diagnosed almost 2months ago.

    My advice is try valacyclovir, a different treatment, 500mg a day. Very rare to have any symptoms at all with that one. And also get some treatment for thrush. Don't bother to check if you have thrush just go to the pharmacy and get something for it as it can just improve an uncomfortable situation down there.

    Another thing to do is check yourself for cuts and tears that can occur with herpes. If you do have that - it will heal you just need to let it heal before more sex.

    Maybe check your diet and take a probiotic too

    Don't be scared to tell your boyfriend you're in physical pain. The point of a boyfriend is to be there for you and be nice to you.. Especially if he gave you the herpes
