need to talk about A.F.

hi im new in the group im 48 just,i found out that i was born with a heart condition called A.L.C.A.P.A. (Anomalous Left Coronary Artery From the Pulmonary Artery) I had major heart surgery in jan 2013 i was told i could of died.

I now have AF IM FINDING IT HARD to deal with as im frightened that i may die. im on a new drug like warferin and many other drugs can any body give me some advice.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<3

    Been having AF for the last 2 to 3 hours sure is getting me down im so tired but know if i shut my eyes now i will not sleep tonight.

    Booked in to have my 5th eco cardiogram on thursday see what that shows again.

    My cardioligist Mr Stephen Large from papworth feels that because of my A.L.C.A.P.A. that my grafting may of moved or sank. fingers crossed it has not.cry

      Babybrowns 4 hours is a long time to be in afib have you ttied ice water and dipping your wrists in it ? Or holding you breath if your in afib that long you need to be asking about an abalation on your heart

      will try that steven thanks it did not go even when i fell asleep, woke up this morning had breakfast and tablets washed up wipe works tops and hay ho its back again.

      having my 5th eco on thursday then see my cardioligist when the appointment comes through !!!!!!!!!!!!!! so will ask about abalation.

    hi everybody just to say i had my eco cardiogram done last week it did not look good.

    but my heart is in AF every day but on saturday morning had to have paramedics out after suffering 3 hours of strong AF also after spending yet another week in hospital.

    the paramedic said that if i suffer like it again for as long then just ring 999 not 111.

    been having them again today im like what shall i do i dont wanna be a pain or look silly if they happen to go when they arrive.

    also my blood pressure gets realy low 81/32.

    i just feel as if im putting on people all the time sadcry
