need to wee all the time

I was diagnosed with this 5 years ago.  About a month ago had some spotting so Dr referred me to gyno.  I had the camera up and he saw a tear I saw it on the screen. He gave me estriol to take for two weeks then I had to go back to see him,  The tear has healed but I have since had one on the other side (vulva) .My Doctor put me back on the gynest everyday for 7 days and then alternative days for 3 weeks.  No more spotting but I always feel like some sort of discomfort when sitting down and it feels like a bit of toilet tissue left behind (There isnt )  And as for peeing I get the pressure feeling and have to go quickly about every hour it burns and It never feels like bladder completely emptied.  Does anyone know if this gynest cream will help with this.  Had water test no infections

Hi Gillian, I found the gynest cream does help with the bladder too and I know how awful that feeling of pressure can be. I am also on hrt patches as my GP says everything in that area becomes thinner and I was getting repeated UTIs. This on it's own did not help the vaginal problems and so I also take gynest 3 times a week. This is the amount that I have found works for me and you may be different. The GP recommended using once a week but for me that simply did not work. Hope you post again to let us know how you are getting on.

Hi Deb still suffering with going pee every hour.  Got the Dr to do a pee test last wednesday incase uti have to ring later today to see if results are back.  She is also going to test for diabetes but apart from going pee I have no other symptoms for that so hopefully that will come back negative.  How long did it take the gynest to work ? I had it every day for two weeks and then the gyne said use no more but had another tear so dr said use it for 7 days and then every other day for 3 weeks On am on week 2 of the every other day treatment.  Dryness feels better and no more tears but just have to pee all the time.

It must have been a couple of months when I suddenly  realised I wasn't going so often. I tried to reduce my gynest and within about 3 weeeks it was back again, I then upped it for a couple of weeks to try to reduce my 'pee sessions'. I also find that the weather can affect things so try to keep my back and feet warm.

When i was in peri menopause earlier on ( i am post menopause now)

i was always wanting a wee, use to drive my partner mad, use to be out shopping and before we even got into the shops i was hunting for a loo..

and... in 2011 i had bloods done and was told i was borderline type 2 diabetes, it was a shock as i eat well and i am not over weight or anything  like that.. anyway it was a hormonal blip time for me, i still prick my finger and check my blood sugars now, but always been okay since that..

thought i would also  mention that ..

      hope all goes okay gillian

    Hi Gillian

have you had a smear lately ..

i only mention this as i had an Bacterial Vaginosis ( Cytolytic vaginosis ) i had no idea, no symtoms, it was picked up at my well woman checks .. i am one year post menopause ... i was feeling something wasnt right but didnt know why.. thats alos in me affected my bladder sensation too..

anyway after many months of not knowing i had it and needing a vaginal antibiotic to cure it i now feel alot better .. its a vaginal flora vaginosis .. wasnt picked up when i had a well woman check only by smear ..

also i now use Estriol vaginally but mine is Ovestin vaginal cream it is stronger than Gynest ..

i havent taken HRT but use a little Ovestin Estriol ( Estriol the kindest ) just to keep the vaginal area less dry and it plumps things up and keeps things from tearing ..

i only use half the amount once weekly and on the outer regions too..

i too have the urge to wee alot sometimes and after many tests etc and all okay..

i was told i had an overactive bladder.. the muscle spasms giving the feeling of needing a wee all the time..mimics cystitis ..

my Doc gave me Oxybutinin tablets to take when this feeling occurred it relaxes the muscle spasm and works and makes all feel restful again

Hi Gillian55083, I am using Gynest Cream too.  Doctor told me to use it for 2 weeks every night then twice a week for 3 months. 2 months is up today so another month to go. But I too get that feeling of pressure to go for a pee all the time. As soon as I have been I feel like I want to go again! As you say it feels like the bladder hasnt completely emptied. Yes and some sort of discomfort when sitting down too. I am a bit worried as I am having a hip replacement soon and dread the catheter coming out the day after the op! Im sat here now with that pressure feeling. It is so annoying isnt it. Interestingly I was at my brothers in Scotland about 3 weeks ago and the feeling went but returned when I got home to Merseyside. Again it went on Saturday when I was in Preston with my friend. But its since come back again! I wonder if I should use the Gynest cream more often than twice a week? Know how you feel.

      Hi Shirley

      was just reading your post..

i had all this sensitive bladder feeling etc, then discomfort when sitting, and feeling really prickly inside .. sort of thing..

also i had sensitive bladder where the muscle spasms and makes you feel you need the loo and infact you dont.. ( hormonal thing for me)

i have tablets to take when it happens and it relaxes the tensed feeling and all feels good again.. and urge has gone..

i havent needed them for ages, the tablets are for as and when use .

i saw my Gyno and as i mentioned he found i had bacterial vaginosis, but said it was cytolytic vaginosis..

i had no idea, no symptoms, no usual odour that ladies get with it, discharge looked normal, nothing gave me any clues i had it..  other than I just always felt that something not right.. also had slight thrush too.

i am post meno no HRT but Gyno suggested Ovestin Estriol vaginal cream thats stronger than gynest.. but i only use it occasionly now, infact i prefer the ovestin Ovules, and use the cream in tiny amount for outer bits.

anyway.. a month after Clindamycin antibiotics treatment vaginally for this BV and then i had to use thrush cream internally for three nights all felt okay..

but those feelings came back again, after a month so was retreated ..

      all was okay ..

then.. i had that uncomfy prickly feeling, like a pain when sat .. and needing to wee more often..

so this time i used canestan for three nights again.. and all felt great at last.

then i bought some vaginal PH testers and discovered my vaginal PH was high.

which can indicate BV .. anyway.. i used premeno duo ovules from stress no more site.. and these solved it.. i only use  occasionly, when i feel i need to, they keep you moisturised and also duo action and keep thrush ot BV at bay ..

my PH is now 4- 4.5 .. perfect..

the bladder can also feel sensitive ( did with me) if the flora vaginally is too high .. ( BV)

i also take acidophilus daily ( probiotic) to keep the good bacteria boosted

such a nightmare when you feel discomfort below, makes you feel so miserable doesnt it.

touch wood i am fine, and these vaginal PH testers are brill to keep tabs on it all

Hi jayneejay, Sorry you have had a rough time too. Not good is it. Its like a permanent irritation and discomfort.

I didnt realise you can buy vaginal ph testers. Thats an idea. As is using premeno duo ovules. Not heard of those either but I will see if I can find them on the website you mention.

Re keeping the good bacteria boosted daily I have been drinking Actimel.

But interestingly whilst the soreness/irritation and wanting to pee all the time is there most of the time, it cleared up again yesterday!!! No idea why! Felt wonderful. But it came back again today!! Cant win.

Will look for the things you mention and see what I think.

      Thanks again.
