SLIGHTLY blurry in left eye a year after the lens replacement surgery so need YAG. I have a lot of small floaters, been informed that after this laser treatment the floaters will probably increase. Anyone with experience?

No experience, but the more serious but fortunately rare issue is retinal detachment. The rate appears to be in <1% of procedures however. With respect to floaters, this comment was made in the article listed below.

"In the first few days following laser capsulotomy many patients note increased floaters, which eventually become less noticeable. In a small percentage of frustrated patients, however, the floaters persist. Dr. Koch describes a typical scenario: “Patients recover vision after cataract surgery, then lose vision due to PCO, have a YAG, and then develop a new set of problematic visual symptoms.” "

One surgeon, Dr. Rudnisky, quoted in the article is the one that has done my first eye cataract surgery and both of my wife's eyes.

thanks for the replies. I must go ahead with the YAG as, although i can go about my daily life, the blurryness is a little annoying.

I am at very high risk of retinal detachment already given my original myopia.

I will hope the floaters can be ignored, definitely do not want to have to go down the vicrectomy route.

had the YAG yesterday on my left eye, very simple procedure. The consultant checked my right eye and reported it is cloudy around the periferal and will eventually become cloudy in vision but this may take months or years. Therefore he recommended i wait.

All good with vision at the moment, I will update re; floaters.
