negative for bv but still having symptoms

hello im 14 and i think ive had bv for two years. i started my period when i was 12 and thats when i started having white discharge and a bad odor. i was scared to say anything to anybody but about a month ago i finally told my mom so i took vaginal supplements from target for two weeks, it went away a couple days then it was back but this time i was only having bv symptoms so i think the yeast was gone. so then my grandma took me to urgent care and they took a swab and it came back negative. before my discharge smelled like bread but now sometimes it smells vinegary and sometimes it smells like pee and sometimes my period blood smells like vinegar and sometimes theres no odor. so then we went to my doctor and they had me take a swab and pee in a cup and they were both negative. he also had me a take a pink pill thats supposed to treat yeast which didnt work and i took antibiotics which didnt work either. now we have to go to a ogbyn but theres only one in our town that will see a 14 year old 😦 for the first week she told my grandma to get baby rash cream (wtf) and to soak in baking powder which i tried and it didnt work. they were closed on labor day so i have to go to school smelling bad and being in pain when i pee i just dont know what to do i dont wanna be like this any longer and i dont wanna smell bad at school ugh. another weird thing is my discharge only smells bad when i go to school, i was reading and i think it might be due to sweat or stress and of course when i told my grandma my discharge only smells bad school she didnt believe me it doesnt make any sense. so in conclusion my symtoms are my discharge smells like pee or vinegar sometimes it itches sometimes it burns when i pee sometimes the doctor said she saw a little swelling which made her think i have a yeast infection, also i cant use a tampon it wont fit at all and it hurts when i try to use a tampon. PLEASE IF SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME I WANT TO BE TREATED!!!

I'm not saying you don't have bv but I would be surprised if you have, the symptoms don't sound like it perhaps more so thrush. Bv has a very distinctive smell of fish. Your only young which is why you might struggle with a tampax perhaps stick to pads as the tampax might be causing you irritation. If I was you I wouldn't treat anything until a doctor diagnosis you. In the meantime don't use anything perfumed on that area if you have to use anything try a soap designed for that area and get some probiotic youghurt

    Hello!

I would advice you to wash your area with scentless soap and wash it carefully. Don't use any perfumes down there. Drink lots of water and eat healthy. Cut down sugar and exercise. Take probiotics like cranberry or so (look it up). Don't use tampons instead use scentless pads which won't irritate. Boric acid supporties should help but I would do my research on it before I try it. Don't give up YOU GOT THIS!!!!

vaginas do have a natural smell ....and sometimes they can smell vinegary sometimes it cab bleach the underwear because its slightly acidic hence the smell of vinegar sometimes its classed as normal other causes can be hormonal imbalance....poor hygeine ....medications and antibiotics ..Vitamin and mineral deficiency.....vaginal infection such as bacterial vaganosis ..also simply not drinking enough water can cause a vinegar /ammonia smell ...the smell of ammonia may be caused when urine mixes with discharge most people with bv experiance a fishy smell typically i had bv for 4 years and mine always smelt like fish most the time ...when u say pain when urintating it could be a urinary tract infection ...yeast is normally causes itching and burning around the vagina and a thick cheese like discharge with my bv i had no vaginal itching or soreness but it hurt to wee i tested positive for a uti ..what i can suggest is to give oral probiotics a try to help keep a balance of bacteria one that balances the vaginal ph there are also over the counter gels to help keep balance but they can sometimes cause a yeast infection after using them which is were a probiotic of some kind is useful as it keeps yeast at bay ...i tried an oral probiotic it was brillaint for the yeast but it didnt help with the bv i had to have an internal antibiotic to clear that up your problem can be caused by many things not just bv as i stated before just a shift in hormones can make the vagina smell a bit off

because there are alot of causes for the smell your describing its hard for me to say what it could be it could be a natural smell given your age and the fact u have had a negative test for bv id say it may be down to hormonal fluctuations and not bv the smell will more than likley change as u enter into adulthood

I have had bv and other infections multiple times before, and it is always accompanied by a fishy odor, not bread or vinegar. White discharge is normal- I never really had discharge until after i started my period a few years back. When I am healthy and have no infections, my normal vaginal smell is kind of vinegary/bread-like, it usually depends what time of the month it is because it varies. Also, I do sweat down there after being at school or walking around all day so that can definitely contribute to a bad vaginal odor. I can't remember if you mentioned getting tested for a urinary tract infection, but if you haven't I suggest getting that tested. It causes pain and irritation especially when you pee and may be the cause of the swelling.

when I was 14 I had a issue but I smelt of sewers I didn't use soap to bring it on or antibiotics I just think it was growing up and the smell went eventually .

I remember someone at school smelling it I can understand your dilemma.

if your from the UK have you tried bv gel ?

but this could just be your body changing into a woman alot of hormones etc
