Negative from Covid now but dazed

Evening All,
After 8 days of covid, which was difficult I got a negative test Thurs.
have done 2 since to make sure.
I believe even with a negative test some symptoms can stay.
I wanted a bit of reassurance and help if anyone could kindly help.
I've been feeling dazed and not fully in control with this and just wanted to know what other people have felt like and if the feeling will eventually past as its not nice.
thank you

my daughter felt the same way when she recovered from Covid. Give it some time. Covid is a strong virus that really takes a toll on the body and mind. try to relax your mind as much as you can. Don’t get too stressed out over this because that can prolong the recovery. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated! The entire body and especially the brain needs hydration even when we don’t have Covid. Too many people are walking around dehydrated.
my daughter did make a full recovery from Covid and the dazed feeling. The body needs time to completely heal. Take care!

Hello Joanne thank you for reply..
I believe my aniexty has come back too. What can we do to get tested to see what's causing the dazing and disoriented?
I sometimes get up and feel sort of not in control. difficult to explain.
Its been 3 days now since ive had the negative test.

Hi. I'm not sure. My mind races that if its covid it may not go away. I sometimes feel fine and energised then other days feel tired and as if i slur my words. I try to tell myself you have beaten it before and you will again. We should be kinder to ourselves . If it was an operation or injury we would take time to recover. Anxiety will leave you dazed and confused as it drains you. One day at a time. I had 2 good days and now a bit if a bad day. Im trying to accept it and draw a line under it. I find talking on here and being with other people help. x

I agree. i think my mindset tells me other people have got over covid straight away. some people have hardly had any symptoms.
everyone copes or experiences differently.
i think because its my 3rd day since passing negative that i think it should completely be gone. I've had it for 8 days and it's took the stuffing out of me. I think I have to take each day as it comes.
your comment about the operation was spot on by the way. I agree 100%

hello aaron, let me tell you that when i got covid, my anxiety became worse and would get horrible panic attacks. as for physical symptoms, the on/off fatigue and my throat still felt off after because it gave me a severe voicebox infection. did a lot of research while i caught it, and apparently the virus itself dies in your system after the 10th day. covid is notorious for giving people brainfog but i personally never experienced it so it's not as though it is set in stone. please give yourself some time to rest, take it easy and stay hydrated. know that you're healed now and you can overcome this:)

Thank you for the reply. always appreciated.
Sorry to hear you had some horrible ongoing symptoms there.
I assume you have overcome them symptoms now?
I had covid for 8 days.
It's been 5 days since I've tested negative.
I am just hoping the sympathy pass.
tonight I went back to my football session as I coach for a living. I didn't go mad. I never get short of breath but this evening I felt it after the session. I just hope I overcome all this.

yes! it was around the 8th day or so that i actually began feeling like myself again, but i did have some lingering fatigue until the two weeks were up. please don't be too hard on yourself as you're still recovering and some shortness of breath is normal as we heal from respiratory infections! let it be covid or anything else.
