Nervous About How I will Look

I am from Texas.  I have had kneck & back pain for years and am just now realizing why.  I don't have shoulder grooves because a bra won't stay on my shoulders.  I have been approved for reduction surgery.  I am nervous about how I will look.  I am 52 and overweight but have always had large breasts.  My rib cage measures 38 & I am a  G cup.  Finding a bra is next to impossible.  My posture has gotten bad and I stick out my gut to support my boob.  My doctor can't show me an example of what I might expect in size and says everyone interprets cup size differently.  His ratings are 4.5 out of 5.  should I be worried, is this a common concern, should he be able to show me an example of propsed size?  I don't want to be all gut.

    Hello,

I am a UK plastic surgeon. Many of my colleagues have before and after photos but not all of them use these. That is not necessarily a bad sign. It can be difficult to give you an exact size. Most plastic surgeons would look for an approximate cup size. I commonly aim for C cup size. It is however more important to get a good size which is matching your frame.

Thanks Dr. Shumacher. That does reassure me. My doctor said a C cup to one is a B Cup to another.

No problem. The main aim is to give you a size that looks good on you. Hope all goes well for you. Get back if you have any other question.
