Nervous all the time

Hello. I'm new to this forum, so let me paint a picture:

About two weeks ago to the day, I was pulling an all-nighter studying and got some weird pain and feelings in my left arm. As I progressed through the day (Wednesday at this point), I got very nervous and started feeling chest tightness. I ended up sleeping that afternoon and going to my last two lectures. These symptoms continued for about a week and a half and then on Friday (4 days ago) I went to the ER just to be safe. They did a blood test, EKG, X-Rays, and a urine sample...they told me I was fine, but didn't offer any explanation (except that maybe I pulled or pinched a nerve in my left arm). But that wasn't a relief for some reason...in fact, that night I had this attack of something. My breathing got very fast and I had a pins & needles feeling in my arms and face. After a while, it stopped. But that happened like 3 or 4 times.

At this point, I have a follow-up appointment for tomorrow and I'm still nervous. I'm only 21 (my birthday was a day or two before this all started) and have had anxiety for some time, but it's never been an active part of my life. And even though the tests came back positive, I'm still worried something is wrong with me. I get random chest pains, when I breathe deeply my back hurts, and my left arm still gets a tingling "falling" feeling near the wrist...especially when I breathe. I just don't know..my thoughts are so negative lately. When I sit and breathe through my nose, I feel generally okay...but most of the time I've been a nervous, anxious mess! I haven't eaten a solid meal in over a week (somehow I'm afraid to eat, which is weird because I'm actually pretty overweight and normally love food), and I'm behind in classwork.

I've seen other people on this site have similar symptoms, which amazed me! I thought it wasn't possible...my mother has super bad, diagnosed anxiety and said she went to the hospital as a kid for similar symptoms. But for some reason I'm still worried and confused. This is all so sudden and I feel like I'm losing my mind.

Yes anxiety is so common. Many don't realise they have it and just think its part of who they are.

I got bad with it at 21. Coincided with me moving away from home. Had a breakdown and treated for it.

In my case I never shared feelings or my life with people close to me. Didn't think it had any bearing on my mental health. I was naive.

Can be genetic but also u may have picked up her anxious way because she reared you.

Anyway go to docs see if some mild meds might help.
