Neurogenic Bladder & Bowel

I have all the symptoms of Neurogenic Bladder & Bowel....sudden urgency, accidents and retention / constipation which rapidly change form one thing to another.

No neurological problem was ever diagnosed ..... I am looking to make contact patients with similar symptoms who do not have a neurological problem undiagnosed and think a cardiovascular cause is possible of likely. I now believe the most like cause is poor blood circulation which could involve my liver. This is what I discovered.

I experienced several bouts of Intermittent Claudication recently which is a cramp in the calf that happens when walking up hill. I bought a Home Blood Pressure Monitor to measure my Ankle Brachial Index (ABPI). The ABPI is the blood pressure in the foot divided by the arm and it should never be more than 130%, mine can be over 150%.

Try measuring your ABPI before defecating ... lie on a bed for 5 mins and take the pressure from the arm. Then put the cuff around your calf with the sensor on the shin and take a measure. Rotate the sensor to your inner calf and then outer calf and calculate 3 APBIs. If any of them are more than 130%, I would be interested to hear from you.

I had hepatitis years ago and think my liver is obstructing blood flow to and from my bladder, bowel and leg.
