Hello

QUESTIONS

What condition is most likely to cause high blood pressure with occasional drops which result in falls?

Also causes stoop posture and leaning to one side when walking?

I am very weak and need help getting dressed showering and getting up from a seated position.

I have difficulty using cutlery and have choking episodes and a constant cough.

I am unable to walk long distances and cannot go out independently. I am unstable at times and

feel very weak.

Thanks

Steve

Steve im not a doctor but a nurse- your issues could be due to many issues and suggest you see a gP as to why your blood pressure is dropping- Postural hypotension (also called orthostatic hypotension) is a condition in which a person's blood pressure drops abnormally when they stand up after sitting or lying down. Not all people who have this condition have symptoms, but it can lead to dizziness, light-headedness and fainting, and possible falls.

See a doctor get checked out- drink lots of water - not eating enough can cause issues or even issues with your sugar intake or lack of.

These are things easily ruled out by doctors in simple tests.

To help yourself you can get a bp machine and record sitting and standing bp for 7 days before you see your gp so that he can diagnose whether you have hypotension or any other bp related issues. Age related - or otherwise.
