How does your neuropathy feel and did you have nerve conduction tests?
I have been told to take gabapentin and some similar drugs but did not.as I have no pain and they all have dreadful side effects.

I have twice been told that I need to see a specialist neurologist. One was at Kings College that would be a difficult journey. My GP told me that the specialist centre for neurology is in Bristol. Does any one have knowledge of that?

Hi Sorry to hear this . These drugs are to be avoided at all costs except in life threatening situation as advised.
Apparently they are being prescribed for sinusitis, uti's, prostitis even when they do not cure the condition.
Sorry but drugs such as gabapentin?neurontin and pregabelin/lyrica have just been exposed as causing brain damage by intergfewring and damaging the synapses in the brain. Then of course there are the manynside effects already published.
I think your dr will discontinue this medication but you really do need to be advising him/gher of the way you feel and I am sure it will be reported to the MHRA or you can do it online to save your dr having to do it as well Please discuss with your dr though as these side effects indicate discontinuation of the drug, according to my Neurologist anyway. xx.
Take care.
