neuropathy or something else

jan went to neurologist for about 10 years had numb side of big toe on both sides. but the pads on the bottom of my feet were now getting to feel solid, had emg on left than in april had it on right. blood work. he said it was neuropathy from both diabetes and high levels of b6 in my blood, i dont take b6 supplements. also my a1c has never been above 6.4 accept once in the fall it hit 7. i am thinking this is something worst like als . all blood work accept for b6 is good, even had an hiv test. how can i rule out als without looking like a loon
