Never had Anxiety or panic attacks, until now... I have now experienced it for a week now. I dont know what to do. I am 16 years old and i feel like this is ruining my life. My Anxiety and panic attacks happen through out the day and especially at night, I feel light headed, Disorientation, Hard to breathe Heart beating faster than normal, i feel like i am dying and i dont know what to do. I was in hospital twice and they told me everything is all good i am really healthy but i cant get that through my mind. I have also seen an anxiety clinic but i still cant control myself. At night when i try and sleep i feel like i am falling into a deep sleep and my heart and breathing feels like it stops and i jerk up woth panic and cannot sleep as i feel like i will not wake up again. For the past 4 days i have been sleeping on the couch instead of sleeping on my bed as i panic when i enter or try and sleep on my bed. Why is that? Can anyone help me asap i am really stressing myself out thinking about it. Remember i have i not experienxed anxiety ot panic before in my life and this has occured for a week now please help me.

Hi Lucas. We all hear you loud and clear! I'm new to this too. The first few weeks is scary, because you just won't accept that it's 'just health anxiety'.
I was in holiday in Oct with my kids and husband. Perfect holiday... should have been golden times... kids playing in the pool... but I just kept thinking 'I'm going to die' and for no reason, panic would rise up in me. I just didn't feel right. (Looking back, this had been developing for some months, but I was just putting it down to every day life stress!)
I'm now accepting that I have health anxiety slowly but surely. It does help, just accepting it. Get the tests done; they make you feel better. (Sometimes they only make you feel better for a short time, but it's better than nothing!) This forum really calms me down too. Makes me feel 'normal'. I'm glad I found it, and have read lots of people's experiences on here; lots of people have this horrid health Anx appear suddenly from nowhere. No reason! With different symptoms.
What are your other symptoms?

Hi
im so sorry to hear you've had such a rotten week -- are you studying for exams or having other pressures in your life. Perhaps you could write down how you're feeling and pop to see gp -- there's often one in the practice who specialises in that area. kerp thinking of those happy days and you'll get back there soon. Good luck
