Nevro hf10 pain stimulator

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had nevro hf10 pain stimulator implanted August 28th, 2019 and the generator/battery is in the top of my buttocks on left side. Well this area has given me fits such as uncomfortable and now hurts very painful. I've called my neurosurgeon but just wanted to get others that have this system, opinion. Do y'all have PAIN not just uncomfortable but true pain?

    Hi Sheila,

My HF10 was implanted in the upper right side of my buttocks (about two inches down from my hip-line) in June 2018. It definitely bulges out and I can feel it; it can get just a little uncomfortably warm (not hot) when I recharge it with the paddle; I can feel a little ache when I sleep or sit on that area directly for a little while; and most importantly, if I happen to bump it against a hard surface (like the corner of a table if I try to squeeze by and hit the edge of the table) then it can be especially painful for a few hours.

However, has it ever been seriously painful for an extended period of time? No. Are you sure it feels really painful? Did you hit that area on something at some point? Is it higher up on your buttocks so that it presses up against an underlying hip or pelvic bone? At least for me it hasn't been seriously painful - just an odd sensation that something sizeable is embedded in my butt (which is true!), but not actual pain.

Hope it feels better for you!

I feel for you, if a miss placement occurs it can really cause you a lot of pain. Your battery may have moved since it was put in. My battery was on my right side but it rested on number 11 rib, and it was causing a lot of pain. my neurosurgeon moved it to my left side above my hip and it is much better on this site. But in ’Moving the battery ,a lead was miss placed or it dropped to a very low position.

i’m glad you called your neurosurgeon, with a CT scan or maybe an x-ray he can tell what is happening. It will probably call for a new surgery, which is never very comfortable. Good luck to you, And may God watch over you. Don , Tulsa,Ok
