I've just had a total hysterectomy on the 6th of December and was wondering how long until your bowels move? I feel a lot of trapped gas and it hurts so bad. I'm drinking coffee and taking my Docusate Sodium 1mg twice a day. What else can I do?

I found eating about 6 prunes every morning helped me, dried ones or from a can.
