New anxiety symptom - is this normal??

Posted , 9 users are following.

Hi everyone.

Today I have done nothin but worry and feel pain. As I've said before I have pain in my left chest mainly breast and today I have had pain in my right breast and now I'm worrying about that 😟 I even checked on google again (couldn't help myself)

Can this be a new anxiety symptom? And have I made it worse by overthinking again?

Had anyone had this breast pain as the main symptom if anxiety?

I've also had horrible thoughts today thinking the worst.

I've had an ECG and blood tests and doctor has checked me over and said I'm fine but I still worry.

I'm worries sick and feel sorry for my family having I put up with me like this. My partner thinks I'm imagining it and my new baby is missing out on happy mum.

I'm a young mum and worried sick.

Any advice appreciated ☺️

Thank you lovely people xx

    Hi Nicola,

I do get this as a symptom of anxiety, I can not even be anxious and this can appear. I was told it's nothing to worry about. Just ride it put. Mine does goes after a period of time.

I tend to find I can get this a few days after I have had a bad anxiety day. It doesn't always occur there and then.

    Hope this helps xx

Hi Nicola. How are you, pains are very common with anxiety, you sound like you are having a rough time. The horrible thoughts are awful and i hate them the most. Can i ask are you on any anxiety meds. Did you have anxiety before the birth of your baby ? You are not imaging it you are experiencing an illness like anyone else please don't be afraid to ask for help. Here if you need me xx

Thank you both for the reply.

I'm only guessing I have anxiety by my symptoms and I constantly worry. I don't take any medication and have not been to my doctors about it. I feel my symptoms are real and not sure why to do about them.

This all started after the birth of my second daughter (14 weeks ago) and started with night sweats which worried me sick and then I had chest pains which lead to breast pains. So scared! I get them a lot Md the scary thoughts that come with them are awful. I've alway been a stress hea but this is different on so many levels. I wake up every day worrying that I have a serious illness and it ruins everything. I want to enjoy my life and my young children.

My main worry recently is my slightly inverted nipple on right breast but I heard this is normal

After birth and due to hormonal changes. My anxiety is making it so much worse though

    Xx

I too have this as a main symptom. I've had several terrible debilitating symptoms over the past 6 weeks and have been thoroughly checked out, including several EKGs, echocardiogram, stress test and blood work and also a chest CT which a few Drs said is all good, but I'll get pains in my left chest and at times in the right and even the middle. I also get a weird feeling in my left arm that's freaked me out and I've gone to the ER, another EKG and said its the anxiety. It does come and go and when it's really really bothering me ill take a half .25 Ativan which helps it go away. It sucks!! I understand exactly what your saying!! I keep hoping my Celexa will start working and take at least the worst symptoms away and I'm also going to start therapy...

Hi Nicola, have you or your doctor considered these new symptoms could be attached to a form of Post Natal Depression? Just a thought as you seemed ok before the birth of your second daughter...

I never had children but, at the age of 49, I am learning just what havoc raging hormones can wreak on the body - and mind!

I am just wondering if the chest and breast pains several of you are experiencing are possibly caused by the way our bodies tense up when we are stressed or anxious? With me it tends to strike my neck and shoulders, mostly, but it can also make my chest and whole back ache with the strain.

I hope you manage to find some answers soon - I presume there are blood tests for post natal hormone levels, just as there are for menopausal hormone levels?

    Good luck x
