New crohns diagnosis unsure of symptoms

Hi, I'm new to this and reading other people's texts this will be very basic ( and I am lucky not to be a lot worse). I had colitis now said to be crohns. My symptoms seem to be there 24/7 and are bloating, cramping, lower back pain and fatigue and stomach like a washing machine. I have 2 young children and have just quit my job ( I'm a pharmacist- so I know about all the drugs!) but I just can't concentrate at work and can't work out if this is all due to crohns or something else- I've never been like this ever and had colitis for 10 yrs. waiting for another colonoscopy and all blood tests fine.

Hi Karen, Having suffered from crohns for 52yrs this year I appreciate what you are going through and have every sympathy for you, I started attending my local "crohns & colitis" society meetings about 12 months ago and found it very helpfull and informative. It gives you chance to share your experiences with fellow sufferes.
?and sometimes obtaining usefull information that doctors and consultants (not being sufferes) cannot appreciate. If you are interested you will find their web site on line
?"Crohns & Colitis Society UK" and they will be able to tell you about your local branch and how to get in touch with them. And you will find that they are not a load of depressed nurotic people. if you did not know that they were suffers you would have difficulty appreciating that were. we have loads of laughs. It is only recently, through these meetings, That I found that people can suffer from crohns & colitis together, as if one is not enough. I personally think that the doctors or consultants just do not know which one it is and therefore easier to say that you have both which is sad.
?The thing is that there are many gastric complaints that give the same symptoms.
reading these forums there are people who like yours self have never been properly diagnosed. I was fortunate,if you can say that being a crohns sufferer.
?I became very ill around 52yrs ago and was susspected as suffereng from appendisitis. It wasn't until they operated to remove the appendix that they found that I was also suffering from crohns, At that timeI had never heard of this complaint. but over the years there has been on the increase in the number diagnosed with crohns. You are somewhat better off now than then. Although they have not yet found a cure or a cause there are new treatments about which were not available when I was diagnosed, which helps reduce the risk of surgery.,
?I hope that you are soon feeling a bit better and able to cope with life with crohns.
?let me know how you go on

I'm sorry you're not feeling great,
if you seen my previous posts I'm a bit obsessed with b12 and I know that can affect memory.
I hope you feel better soon and things settle down for you.

Hi Karen,
I am Crohn's sufferer too. Now my sickness is in remission. May be you should change your diet. The colonospy will decide how bad your Crohn is and give you medication. Meanwhile, you should eat less and eat slowly, avoid cafeinn or alcohol. Not much fruit or raw vege. I understand that your stomatch is like washing machine. Mine was exactly the same. The only thing that total change my life is eating more yogurt and mix the pobiotic with it three times a day. No biscuit or process food. Now I can drink coffee or tea but I still limit. Try to relax let it be. One thing,if you take too many iborufen or pain killer then it will cause Crohn's disease. You are pharmacist and you know the type of medication is good for stomach or intestine. So be careful when the specialist give medication. I have no medication at all at the moment for it makes my symptoms worse. I hope you will be all right after changing your diet. The stomatch is like washing machine because of the indigestion caused by too much fibre. All the best.
