New day, new issue

Ok so.. I was a bit panicky because I ate bad yesterday and convinced myself I would die of a heart attack. I fidnt get much sleep last night, and was up at 4am. My son woke up so I went to go get him.. I laid down and felt this extremely fast pulse in my right arm near my elbow.. No I'm convinced it was my heartbeat and that something went wrong for a minute.. Was that a heartbeat or a muscle twitch? There was no chest pain or anything but I became immediately panicky and refused to actually check my pulse. Now I'm telling myself that my chest hurts. Help!

Hi there. You have to eat junk food for years and be obese to actually let bad eating impact your heart. Do you have a balnced diet most of the time? smile You are ok. This is the anxiety talking. x

I used to eat HORRIBLE. I'm 26 and have been on healthy kicks a lot thro life, but realistically I would eat a fast food meal a day (sometimes it was salads, health foods, etc). 6 months ago I cut off all bad foods. Pop, sugar, caffeine, red meat, all of it. I've been living off of water, salads, vegetables and the occasional treat for a sweet tooth. I've also been doing good with my anxiety.. Some panic here and there, but not much. Then when it happened today I got myself so worked up but I figure if it was my heart, I would've gotten fast breathing or something to match the "heart rate" or whatever it was

Acid reflux is common in anxiety and can be mistaken for heart problems.

    Junk food caused acid reflux

I have in February. Last December. And in March. I've become close to hospitals to say the least.. My biggest fear is them missing something. I've had several bloodtests, enzymes checked, ekg, ct scan and chest xrays.. Nobody could find anything wrong.. Cholesterol can't build up that fast can it?? I know they say you only need to have cholesterol checked every 5 years so I'm assuming not??

I was tested for cholesterol and mine went up after two years. But I drank a lot of cola's and ate pretty bad. But it only went up a few points. But no, I don't think it can go up that fast if you have it tested in February. I also get the rapid heart rate on occasions. My doctor said I had Pre mature ventricular contractions. They do have medicine (beta blockers) that can help. But with me, I have just been trying to avoid all caffiene, however when I do allow myself a coke or a tea, then it worsens. Its scary when we can't find a diagnosis but we know something is going on. I hope it gets better for you.

Thanks, you also.. I want to see a cardiologist to clear my mind but my doctor doesn't see a reason to since he thinks it's anxiety.. He recommended a psychiatrist so hopefully thatll do the trick.
