New Diagnosis Achalasia

Hi,
I have just been diagnosed with Achalasia. I have had no further information yet to know what type .
I am currently unable to eat almost any solid food and very little liquids. I am managing currently but feel very tired and weak after no calories over a period of time.
A question that i can't find the answer to is can those us us with this terrible illness vomit? I am so worried that I may catch a virus at work (I work at a special school) . My brain says if I cannot swallow how can I vomit? what would happen?
Also do all hospitals in the UK offer surgery for this ? or is it so unusual that it is a specialist surgery? I am currently booked in for Botulism injections to help and then create a plan but have not seen anyone to find any further information.
I very much hope someone can answer my query and offer any helpful information
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond

Hi, this surgery is performed by an upper gi surgeon and is a specialist procedure. I stay in the uk and have just had a heller myotomy as first line treatment and so far have had great results and long may it last. I hope you get some treatment soon.

Yes, I've found that vomiting is fine, and seemingly the solution when something is stuck.
If you haven't already, read the post about chelated magnesium. I found that to solve my achalasia after suffering for years.
