I am overwhelmed at the moment with my new diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos.. I think this overrides my Fibromyalgia diagnosis of 23years, but not sure if I do still have PMR as well. Has any one else been put into the EDS catagory?

Hi I have GCA, PMR and Fibromyalgia some days are really seriously bad that it is a bed day happens with no warning I just wake up around 5am have shakes real cold really thirsty then vomit sometimes it wakes me up to vomit it lasts for about 4 hours. I wish I knew what it was happens twice a month and now once a week twice a week. Does anyone have this I will look into this ED, I'm on 11 pred had a flare 6 weeks back hospital for 3 days now on the road to decreasing pred it feels like it's working,

I used to have a similar experience - but very very rarely. Sometimes it lasted a few hours but sometimes a lot less and I would go back to sleep and wake OK but feeling weak. I found that if I had something carby quickly it seemed to abort it. A yoghurt, half a banana or a pack of sugar if I couldn't find anything else would do (you know, the sort you get at a cafe?) I came to the conclusion it was a low blood sugar that did it - no proof but it seemed to fit. Since I went low carb because of pred it almost never happens, once a year maybe and after having had more carbs than usual.
