New dose

Hi guys! How are you all doing today? I'm 4 days into my new dose (20mg). Seems like the side effects so far are another bout of increased anxiety, worrying thoughts, sweating, tiredness, heartburn and a restless leg. I can deal with them all except the increased anxiety 😦. When did you all find your symptoms calming down again after increasing your dose? Also have another question about alcohol, I'm not a big drinker anyway and haven't had a drink since we'll before starting citalopram, however I would like to enjoy some baileys over Christmas, doctor said I can drink with it but that it would make me feel more depressed so it's my choice. Have yous found a few drinks makes yous alot worse?

hi, i am 6 weeks in on my increase to 20mg from 10mg. i have morning anxiety with it which subsided with the 10mg but this time it hasnt yet. hang on in there as told from allot of others that it may take longer for side effects to settle.

i had a drink and was fine just drink in moderation as its a depressant and if you over do it you may suffer.

hey everytime you increase the dose it's like reintroducing the medication again so it will take time but everything you are feeling is normal. hopefully within few weeks you start having some relief and less side effects.

when it comes to drinking be careful I am not a big drinker myself but there has been Christmas things going on so I have been out and just had one beer and felt horrible the next day with increased anxiety. so I would say do a test and have some alcohol now and see how it affects you so you know whether to drink or not over Christmas. because it would be so horrible to have a horrible day over Christmas just because you had a glass of some alcohol. so just test in now so you will know. first time I was on cit it took 6 months before I could drink.
