New fiberglass cast and slight tingling in foot

Hello All,

Broken my fibula about 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago had surgery (plate + 4 screws) and a splint cast put on.

Yesterday I had the splint cast replaced (after stitches removed) with a fiberglass cast. The cast itself feels fine, i've a little bit of motion inside so I don't think it's overly tight.

The issue is, I feel slight tingling in my foot. Not quite full blown pins and needles, but almost like there's a pressure on blood flow. I've checked my toes are not numb / cold, colour is pretty much the same as my non-injured foot/toes. Did a capillary refill test and that seemed fine too.

So, am I over thinking this and just keep it elevated and iced and it will go away ?

Or do i on Monday head back and get the cast replaced?

First time in a cast, so no idea what to expect!

Thanks!
