New here - the pain :(

I posted yesterday asking if it sounded like I had this awful virus but didn't get a reply anyway I took myself to the Drs today and yep turns out it is Herpes.
I've been given anti virals to take 3 times a day for 5 days. Keeping the area clean and dry as best as I can (just happened to have my first outbreak during a period! )
I'm not upset about having it nor am I embarrassed as such, not happy either but hey ho just one of them things in life I guess.... Anyway is there anything else i can take to ease the pain ? I have a 6 month old baby n getting up and down to see to my child is unbearable, it isn't hurting as such when I go toilet is say it hurts more after. Also how long do first outbreaks last with anti virals? I'd say the itching burning started last Thursday. But I was stupid and thought it was for shaving, I have a few blisters popped one already scabbed and lots more that look full and ready to pop

It can still take 2-3 weeks to heal entirely (from first symptoms to zero lesions/scabs). For pain relief, there's ibuprofen, paracetamol and topical lidocaine. You can also try soaking in a shallow tub of Epsom salts for general relief. Lots of other tips on here, so you can try reading/searching past discussions.

No, they only scab on regular skin, so it depends where your lesions are. If a blister bursts, that won't really cause it to spread around the area. Any new lesions in the area are because you are already infected genitally. The liquid inside is highly infectious, however, so it is possible to spread to another body part during your first outbreak and before you have developed full immunity at 4 months, so wash your hands well after touching.

I haven't been tested as it was quite clear to my doctor what it is/Was. I got to go back next week for a smear test etc. No I had no signs when I had my baby now and no signs when I had my now 10 year old. I was with their father for 10 years, we split up when our youngest was 12 weeks old. I haven't been with anyone else, so I'm 100% this is has been laying dormant for years.
Day 2 with antivirals and I have a few questions, from what I see now most blisters have popped bar 3/4 how long does the scabbing stage last? Do all blisters burst ?
